Aka הגענו לחגוג יום הולדת בAka נדהמתי לגלות כמה החוויה בפנים שונה מהחוויה שמוצגת על הרחוב עצמו העמוס והמגוון. המפות הלבנות, המטבח הפתוח והיופי של המסעדה עשו לי הרגשה טובה של פריז בתל אביב. התרשמתי מזה שהלחם הוא על חשבון הבית, וכשנגמר, ריפיל בלי לבקש (בדיוק קראתי כתבה על שף רפי כהן מרפאל שנדהם מזה שהיום בתל אביב גובים כסף על לחם). הלחמים לחם מחמצת ולחם לבן מצוינים, הגיעו עם חמאה מעולה. סשימי טונה על קונסומה עגבניות עם שמנים צבעוניים, מנה יפייפיה טריב וטעימה. טרטר שייטל, שאלוט, עירית עם פדרון בצד- הטרטר היה קצוץ גס, שונה מבדרך כלל עבורי, ללא חלמון בצד ועם טעמים הרבה פחות עדינים מהמנה הצרפתית הקלאסית, מנה שונה אבל טעמים מעולים. קפלטי טלה על ארטישוק ירושלמי- אל תצאו משם מבלי להזמין אותה, הטעמים מתפוצצים בפה, הבשר, הארטישוק, החמאה ושמן הזית. נפלא. מהספיישלים לקחנו שקדי עגל בפחמים- ארטישוק, חמאה לימונית, בוטרגה. הרגיש כמו שקדי עגל ברוטב קובה חמוסטה. השקדים נמסים בפה והרוטב מעיף את הכל גבוה. קינוחים: עוגת גבינה באסקית ברולה קרמל ופרמז׳ן- טעימה מאוד ואהבתי את השילוב המלוח מעושן של הפרמזן, אבל לא רכה בכלל. לא היתי קוראת לה באסקית. טארט לימון וקרם יוגורט- קרמבל שוקולד לבן, טוויל קרמל. קינוח מצוין!!! לסיכום, טעים מאוד, ותשבו בפנים. 643 שח לא כולל שירות ועם 3 כוסות יין.

I want to start with the positive - the service was really good! We were a dissatisfied table and they did everything in their power to better our experience (including grating us a fair discount on the bill).
However, this is yet another overpriced very low VFM bar/ restaurant in Tel Aviv.
The dishes were OK. Some better than others but very expensive and not worthy of their price.
The atmosphere is not pleasant, it's loud with wired music and very smoky inside (from the open kitchen) to the point that you leave the venue with clothes that stink from smoke.
Unfortunately, this wasn't a good experience for us.

The place has an interesting concept, featuring a wine bar on the second floor, a restaurant inside, and a more casual atmosphere outside, suitable for brunch or cocktails. The food was delicious; maybe the tartar portion was a bit too modest. The salad had a great fresh taste, and the zucchini was amazing. The Italian iced tea was a bit too basic and lacked a distinct flavor or any notable alcohol content. Their bread was also excellent.

Nice breezy environment with very tempting aroma wafting from the pizza place across the street XD
The white fish skewer is impressive, a whole filler on the skewer (I was expecting chunks, but this is more interesting). Crispy skin with a pinch of salt. The mashed potato is super delicious (not going to ask how much butter it contains)— the sticky type, which I personally prefer and know many consider it improper. The spinach is lovely too.

Very disappointing experience. We arrived and saw an empty table, so we asked the hostess if we could sit there. She confirmed, said she would have it cleaned, and invited us to take the table. The table was cleaned and we sat down.
A few minutes later, the manager approached us and told us we had to get up because there were people “ahead of us.” This is unacceptable. If the hostess made a mistake, that is an internal issue, you do not ask guests who were already seated with staff approval to stand up and leave their table.
This is basic hospitality etiquette and a standard all over the world. The situation was handled poorly and left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. Unfortunately, this completely overshadowed the experience and reflects very badly on the restaurant’s management.

Great place for dinner!
We had a great dinner for 2, and enjoyed the food very much. The waitress was really nice and friendly, and all dishes were tasty.
The 2 downsides were the host's attitude and specifically the price of one of the salads (58 NIS for a few pieces of radish and fennel).
