A new place in town - open only for 6 weeks. The place is located in a new complex and it's interior is modern chick. The reservation was via phone and they first didn't saved my name - and even though specifically asked for the bar, we've been told "Ohh that was not recorded in the booking". So we sat at a table - and it's very cramped - not so much left&right but basically there is no space between the tables and the bar for the waiters to operate while the bar offers a look into the rather spacy kitchen area (the spacing here is the opposite to Senior). Whatever - that'll be difficult to change. The menu: There is offers of vegetarian, and non vegetarian starters. And then a couple of grilled skewers/options. The "green plate" is surely worth - it's big and helps to side along the whole evening. The fish tartar was very good and also the meat dish with the fat and foie gras was mouth watering. It's a lovely menu - though I think the place still needs to find it's rhythm and vibe. Will probably test it again in half a year to see how it develops and stabilizes.

A great new addition to Tel Aviv’s food scene, Gastro Mechanico is tucked away in Florentine, a neighborhood full of exciting new openings. The restaurant is a bit hard to find (it’s inside a new complex and not street-facing), and the space is small and cozy, but it’s all part of the experience—and completely worth it for the food. The menu is best described as Tel Aviv bistro-style, with a thoughtful mix of vegetable-forward and meat dishes that complement each other beautifully. Standouts for us were the “green plate,” a vibrant assortment of green vegetables (including snap peas, broccoli, avocado, green beans, and more), and the dumplings, which were filled with tender pulled meat and served in a rich, umami-packed broth. For dessert, the tart was good, but the real highlight was the strawberries and whipped cream—simple, fresh, and incredibly satisfying. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something special and a little off the beaten path in Florentine.

Food was kind of lame except the for the paté (which was the best I've had), all of the dishes were missing flavour especially sour. I ordered the greens plate (which combined cooked and uncooked vegetables) and was surprised that some of the cooked vegetables were served hot and some cold. Overall the place was nice but the food was very disappointing.

Small, percise and very tasty. Great variety of tastes and a wonderful selection if wine. recommend for parties if four max due to the rather small place.

It was quite terrible experience end to end. The lace is extremely tiny and loud. We kept getting hit in our backs by the waiter trying to go over to other tables. When tried to talk to a manager he said basically to deal with it and it is what it is. I understand places trying to maximise the space, but this is on a whole other level. Complete disrespect to the customers
