whoever is in charge of the dough for samsa and mantu is an expert, the texture, the folds everything about it was amazing, unfortunately the taste is mediocre at best and the amount of oil in all the stuff i tried is extreme, way too much for me. i would not(!) come back but really appreciate the craftsmanship of the dough making.

If you know Bukharin breads and you are searching for them, go no further, you have found a great bakery for them. They specialize in the round ones that are about 12" diameter. People line up on Friday's for up to 2 hours to buy them, and they buy them by the dozen. They also specialize in all kinds of bakery items, they have a large round basket made of bread that is delicious. Also their meat pies are amazingly good. 2 of them and a soda, and man o man, that's good eats.

Best bakery with pastry based on original receipts from Buchara. You should wait for the bread in line and eat it while it hot. Also you have to try the dough filled with beef and lamb fat. The last but not least, the sweets are great too, dough crumbs with honey....

Tasty traditional pastries from Bukhara as well as other dried stuff, flours and condiments. You can find flat bread (lavash) and stuffed parties (samsa) with meat, pumpkin and nuts (sweet). The meat samsa is just amazing - a crunchy envelope filled with succulent aromatic meat and onions mix. Buy one more than you planned- it's that good...
