Fantastic experience in Barrafina today, we were sitting at the basement dining room, the tables were all spaced out nicely, customers in each table could enjoy their own dining time.
We ordered Ham Croquettes, Grilled pumpkin, Gambas Rojas, Prawns n Piquillo Pepper Tortillas, Grilled Sea Bream and Arroz Negro. The food was delicious and well served by friendly staff. I could not find anything to criticize at all. That’s why I visited this restaurant twice within 7days. Definitely will visit again soon.
Great food, especially the tortilla, so different, so complexed.
Bacon croquet are delicious too, potato cream is silky smooth, bacon especially aromatic.
1hr limit is very true, and a little noisy in the basement.
Overall a very delightful experience

I felt compelled to leave a review for Barrafina as we had such an excellent experience. The service is wonderful, the food sensational and the wine was top tier. We had the cuttlefish croquetas, pez limon crudo, iberico pork, gambas, tomato salad and patatas bravas, basque cheese cake and almond cake and everything was delicious - the Iberico pork and rice being the standout dish. Highly recommend the pet nat sparkling too. Great chat at the bar with the chefs too ✨

Food and wine was excellent. As good as the food in Spain. The txakoli on the menu is a nice touch, as it’s hard to get that outside of the Basque Country
The only thing that could have been better is that the main door slammed shut/didn’t have a slow close. Was very loud and distracting!

Dining at Barrafina Drury Lane was an unforgettable celebration of Spanish flavors executed with precision and heart. The evening started with the Pimientos de Padrón, blistered to perfection and lightly kissed with sea salt—simple, rustic, and deeply satisfying. The jamón croquetas followed, with their crisp golden shell giving way to a creamy, luxurious filling that delivered pure comfort in every bite.
The tortilla española was a standout: soft, rich, and beautifully custard-like in the center, capturing the soul of traditional tapas with impeccable technique. The black rice arroz negro was intense and aromatic, the squid ink lending depth and umami, while the plump prawns and silky aioli balanced each spoonful with freshness and creaminess.
The slow-braised meat dish was beautifully executed—tender, deeply flavored, and resting on a velvety mash that soaked up its glossy sauce. The meal concluded with a perfect crema catalana, its caramelized top cracking gently to reveal a silky citrus-infused custard that was both nostalgic and refined.
Every plate reflected Barrafina’s commitment to quality ingredients, honest cooking, and an unpretentious approach to excellence. It’s the kind of dining experience that lingers—warm, vibrant, and worth returning to again and again.
