A gem in Chiswick – Special thanks to Francisco for the warm welcome
I’ve just enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Clayton Hotel Chiswick and couldn't wait to leave a review. The hotel itself is fantastic, stylish, immaculately clean, and in a great location with easy access to Central London while still feeling relaxed and quiet.
I was checked in by Jesica, and she was absolutely lovely. She was so welcoming and efficient, making sure everything was sorted quickly so I could get straight up to my room and relax. It was the perfect start to the stay, thank you, Jesica!
However, what truly elevated the experience from good to exceptional was the staff. I have to give a special shout-out to Francisco, who provided some of the best customer service I’ve received in a long time. From the moment I arrived, he was incredibly professional, welcoming, and efficient. He made the check-in process seamless and took the time to offer some great local tips. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely cares about your stay like Francisco clearly does. He is a real asset to the Clayton team.
The room was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, but Francisco’s service is the main reason I’ll be booking here again on my next trip to London. Thank you!
We had a board retreat at the hotel so a good number of us spent the night here.
We spent the evening at the bar with sufficient table and chairs to go round leaving plenty of room for others.
Service on drinks was quick and responsive. Cocktails took a while longer but wasn't too bad.
The bedrooms were large with a bath and shower in my room, seating space, table, etc.
We also used the library room for our board meeting. A bit small but we'll organised. We also used the outside seating areas for breakout groups.
Finally, breakfast was lovely. Buffet style, with all the necessary elements of a British or continental breakfast. I also ordered an omelette which was well made.
Would definitely recommend.
We recently stayed at The Clayton Hotel whilst in Chiswick for a family wedding. What a treat!
All of the staff we spoke to were lovely and very helpful.
The reception areas make it clear you are entering a classy establishment (and it smells like a dream down there, too!)
Our room provided everything we needed for our two night stay - a big, incredibly comfortable bed; a huge bathroom with both a bath & separate shower cubical.
Whilst there were the usual tea & coffee making facilities, please note that there was no fridge or mini bar in the room.
Breakfast was in the form of a help yourself buffet, which was great, with everything from full English, to fruit, pastries and even porridge.
The decor was perhaps a little tired in places upstairs, but it was all spotlessly clean.
All in all, we wouldn’t hesitate to return, and considering it’s a London hotel, we think the price was incredibly reasonable.
For the purpose of our visit the hotel worked well, but perhaps a bit expensive for the quality of the hotel. The lack of cooling for the room was an issue and not being able to open windows was an additional problem. The gym had some good equipment, but was far too small for this size of hotel. The entire room was full by 07:00 each morning with no space for additional people. We could hear everything outside, even normal conversations is the hall. I will look for an alternative next time I am in London. No laundry facilities was another problem.
We really loved our stay here. The room was fabulous, plenty of space and even in 33c heat(outside) we were the perfect temperature indoors, because the air conditioning was so good. Staff were all really friendly and breakfast was lovely. Thanks for making our two night stay memorable.
