We came to Tel Aviv from Los Angeles. At one point, my partner expressed a desire for carbs and eggs. I immediately thought of this cuisine for obvious reasons. After searching on the web I found this place. Talk about authentic. One of those classic Tel-Avivian hole in the wall spots that delivers a direct route to another culture. That’s the magic of multiculturalism in Tel Aviv, and this place is exemplary of that. The family has been making food here since 1980. That’s 46 years of sharing Georgian culture with Israelis and travelers from all over the world. Wonderful texture, wonderful flavor, great service, warm genuineness. Loved it.
Im shocked that this place has a 4.7 rating. I trusted the reviews and ordered the food outside, I didn’t see the restaurant inside. When we went to the table, I was in shock. It’s the MOST unsanitary and dirty place I’ve been to in my life. Everything’s old, and dirty. The kitchen is a disaster, the food is in the sun all day. The chicken was rotten, and the meat sandwich was dry and old. We were sick all day and night afterwards. Because the owner heated the already cooked food in the microwave he forced us to pay 10% tips.
Don’t recommend at all.
I can’t say enough good things about this place. We are visiting from Toronto and I don’t get to have Georgian food often so finding this place accidentally on google was pleasant. The food was phenomenal, the owner was so kind and showed nothing but good and kind energy. They have Georgian beers and really amazing dinner good and street food. 10/10!
