Tonight, for the graduation of our daughter, we have decided to try the 4 25.
Many years back we have tried Jean George’s restaurant in Shanghai.
What a wonderful experience and surprise tonight !
Everything thing was perfectly executed
Our waiter, Christian, was very attentive, his service, spotless.
Couple of nights back we went to café Boulud @Barnes which is a one star Michelin… total chaos and absolutely unbelievable that it gets a one star rating..
On the contrary, tonight the restaurant 4 25, deserves a star.
The amuse bouche, the appetizers were very simple yet tasty.
The carte / menu is rather short in choice, not extremely sophisticated but every dish was very well executed.
Foie gras and rhubarb were nicely associated
Yellow fine tuna was very tasty
The main courses:
The duck was incredibly well cooked: tender and roasted with a Thai style sauce. The fish was proposed with a twist of Korean flavor.
Everything was balanced, interesting and worth every dollar.
The venue itself is neat, stylish, not loud, and even the customers are far more sophisticated than the ones @ Boulud
Definitely a place to discover
Would be more than happy to dine there again in the near future
