2 of us walked in around 8PM on Sunday and were lucky to get seated right away outside. I think first, the interior looks great, chic. The menu has good variety.
The bread was buttery and good.
Hummus was amazing with hot honey.
Scallop is really must have.
And orzo was beefy and fatty. It got a bit saltier later on or else it was my favorite.
The two ceviche items were Ok. The tuna tartare was a bit too sour.
Anyway, great service, great food, great time. And we felt even better to get in without booking - it was really our luck.
It said Greek but I think it’s just really fusion of many Western flavors, and some Asian sometimes?
It’s good overall anyway!
Great space above the Borough Market. There is a patio that over looks the market, 2 floors within and basement beside the bathroom (only AC space).
Small but mighty menu. The bread was a fan favourite at the table (kids and adults). You will want an order for yourself. Spreads are a must to accompany the breads. The hummus was silky smooth topped with hot honey and crunchy chickpeas for texture. The raw ceviche and crudo was bright and not overly seasoned where the fish shines through. Only downside is not enough shiso tempura as the kids were fighting for the one leaf.
Mussel dish was a highlight of the not. The sauce was rich, deep and flavourful with the bread at the bottom to slurp it all up.
Pea orzo was a delight and lamb chop was ordered for the table (can’t comment as did not taste due to diet reasons).
Overall a great space and wonderful service that accommodated kids. Wine menu was 👌.
We arrived at Oma around 19:30 on Saturday evening and were fortunate to find a table without booking. The restaurant's vibrant ambience and welcoming staff made us feel immediately at ease, setting the tone for a memorable evening. For starters, we ordered the wildfarmed laffa, lamb salata, and scallops. As a big fan of hummus, I was particularly impressed with the lamb salata, which featured a generous amount of tender lamb as a topping. Each starter was beautifully presented and full of flavour, making them a perfect introduction to our meal. Our mains included the oxtail giouvetsi and Cornish lamb. The orzo pasta in the oxtail giouvetsi was delicious, and the bone marrow stock used in the dish was phenomenal. The Cornish lamb was extremely tender, packed with flavour, and charcoal-grilled to perfection. We added crispy potatoes and flourish green as side dishes; while the potatoes were delightfully crisp, the flourish green was a bit too charcoaled for my taste.
To finish, we indulged in the mizithra cheesecake, which was a delightful end to our dinner. Throughout the evening, the service remained excellent, attentive, and friendly. Highly recommended!!
Fresh off the plane straight to Oma.
Front row seat.
This tiny kitchen is doing the most to provide their delicious food.
I can tell you the food is an absolute hit. We ordered several small dishes. We wanted to try everything.
The bread so fluf and crispy good the salt fish xo OH MY. I couldn't get enough of it.
The crudo dishes are just yum.
Scallops are our fav.
Keep up the good work.
9/10.
We had an incredible meal here!! Honestly everything was delicious.
The restaurant’s vibe is quite casual which complements the style of food well. Service was friendly.
All the dishes were perfectly executed. The prices are pretty good for a Michelin star spot in London. We managed to try a big selection of dishes. I loved all the breads, dips and the oxtail giouvetsi. I definitely recommend for a special occasion.
