Prepare for an authentic Italian escape for your palate right here. The Tortellini in Brodo is a masterclass in comfort, with delicate pasta pockets swimming in a rich, savory broth that feels like a warm embrace on a chilly evening. It's truly a hug in a bowl. Start your culinary journey with the delightful Bruschetta options. Whether you opt for the creamy, earthy notes of Cheese and Walnuts or the vibrant, tangy kick of Salami and Balsamic Glaze, both are perfect appetizers. And for freshness, the array of salads is impressive. The classic Insalata Caprese bursts with ripe tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil. Don't miss the earthy Insalata Funghi or the hearty Estiva Insalata Verde con Tonno. Even the Insalata Fantasia options, with or without tuna, showcase crisp greens and quality ingredients. This place truly celebrates the essence of Italian cuisine, delivering memorable dishes that are both comforting and exhilarating.
Lovely place to enjoy some tasty traditional Bolognese dishes in affordable prices. Prepare to queue a bit and share a table with others. This is always a good thing as you get to meet other people and share stories.
We wanted to visit this very popular tavern in Bologna because many people recommended it. The que is constant but bearable, on a busy Saturday evening we waited around 50 min. We were also seated in the basement room, fitted with around 20 tables. Food was great but not mindblowing, yet reportedly from local producers, which shows by the excellent quality. The traditional tagliatelle al ragu were super, but I had more delicious one nearby. The desserts were simple but absolutely wonderful. The setting is tight and noisy, yet lively and with vibrant atmosphere. To sum up, it was a great experience, we felt the culture and the food was super, but this one is probably not the best of the best experiences in the city.

Unfortunately an overrated place again. We waited around half an hour in the queue but the taste of food was not worth at all. We visited couple of places during this trip and definitely had the chance to compare the food. We ordered 3 different pastas and lasagna. All were average.

Overall we can say that the food was great, however, it is my girl's opinion that the bolognese was mid. Staff was very helpful, friendly and English speaking. Limited variety of drinks: a couple of cocktails, tap beers and the house wine (which was good). Panna cotta was pretty bad according to my Italian friend. Portions are just. Also, it must be said that the service was swift, both for sitting us and delivering our food. We recommend it :))

Osteria dell'Orsa is a very popular spot in Bologna, and I decided to visit based on the many positive reviews on Google Maps. Reservations are not possible, so be prepared to come with patience. There are around 80 places inside alwaysall full, and outside there are only a few more. It’s very common to see a line of 20–30 people waiting outside.
The service is extremely fast, which actually works in the restaurant’s favor. The ordering concept is simple and efficient — the staff doesn’t give much time to think, which is perfectly fine here. You either know what you want or you don’t. If you expect to be pampered by the staff, this is not the right place.
This is about authentic cuisine that stays true to tradition. The dishes are served simply, without decoration or unnecessary extras, and you can really taste that simplicity. The focus is on basic, high-quality ingredients, without overthinking or “fine dining philosophy.”
The pasta is properly cooked, perfectly al dente. We also brought our small dog with us and felt very welcome — and so did he. He is quite picky and usually refuses restaurant food, but here he cleaned his plate completely, which for us is a clear sign of good quality.
Prices are reasonable. We paid around 40 euros including tip for dinner, which included a main course, a starter, and drinks. This may not be the best pasta in the city, but for the price, the quality and experience are absolutely justified.
