We visited Zaika on Christmas Eve and had a pleasant overall experience.
The decor immediately stands out - elegant, refined, and fitting for a special evening. The setting feels warm yet sophisticated, making it a lovely place to celebrate an occasion. On a festive night like Christmas Eve, the ambience added nicely to the experience without feeling overwhelming.
The food was nice and well presented. Flavours were balanced and enjoyable, though not particularly groundbreaking. Everything was cooked well, and the menu offered a good selection of classic dishes executed with care. It felt like solid, quality Indian dining in a beautiful setting.
Service throughout the evening was attentive and professional. The team handled a busy festive night smoothly and made sure we were comfortable.
Dessert, however, was slightly disappointing and didn’t quite match the standard of the rest of the meal. When we shared this feedback, the chef kindly sent us some gulab jamun to take away, which was a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. That response showed genuine hospitality.
Overall, Zaika delivered a nice evening with good food, good service, and a lovely atmosphere. We would return again.
It’s good just kinda not worth it unless you’re willing to splurge on a fancy interior?
The cocktails were bomb though. Love my special gimlet.
The starters were well cooked, beetroot chop was crispy and the mango chutney uniquely presented as quite creamy! The mango avocado salad was nice and crispy, the dresssing a nice vinaigrette, but the mangos were not alphonso lets just say that. Quite underripe.
The mains were nice. But not spectacular at all. The most amazing part was the protein itself, like the shrimp was high quality and thick, and the chicken was soft and nice but also not top tier. I think the sauces lacked depth, spice, and sincerity. I could barely taste the pistachio in the pistachio sauce. You should be more daring! Put your soul in the sauce! And the butter chicken sauce was almost watery, and not sweet or fatty enough. The prawn sauce was not memorable at all I’m afraid. Now, of course I enjoyed them! But I would never order this again for the price (around 30GBP per curry). The rice was ok, needed more salt. The naan though, that was spectacular and crispy heaven.
Dessert was also a little mid. Pistachio milk cake could have been soaked and more moist, and have a more intense flavour in all the layers. Oh well, at least the milk/cream was satisfying.
Overall, eh. Not sure. Good but wouldn’t return.

The Raj Kachori & Tandoori Seabass Fish was very tasty, while the lamb shank and kofta were just okay. The Punjabi Paloma cocktail was excellent and definitely the highlight.
Overall, a nice place to try once, especially for a special occasion.

i've been going to Zaika for many years and it never disappoints. I've tried all the famous and classic Indians around London but this one is just THE TASTIEST. A modern Indian restaurant done well. The food is truly delicious, the restaurant is beautiful and the staff lovely. It's just full of flavours! Just writing about it makes me salivate...

The food was good but pricey. The chicken korma was very disappointing, it's just a single chicken breast sitting on a plate covered in sauce. Bear in mind it cost +£20
Our server however was constantly trying to push us to spend more. Didn't tell us the water was £5 a bottle and also got me a second coke even though I specifically said no.
The total bill for two people with two mains and two starters was £120. This was more expensive than the hotel we were staying at which included a pool and spa.
The food was really good but it's way to expensive.
