We had a wonderful lunch at Restaurant Montergade. We tried the herring dishes — one with curry and another red-pickled with lemon — and both were absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The balance of spices in the curry herring and the brightness of the lemon in the red-pickled version were especially impressive.
We also had the steak tartare, which was perfectly prepared and very tasty. The overall atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, making it a great spot for a leisurely lunch. recommended!
In central Copenhagen, this dedicated smørrebrød brasserie offers a traditional Danish lunch menu served on Royal Copenhagen porcelain with attentive table service in neat, well-lit rooms, including a private.
We were 4 for lunch that had a beef tartare with raw yolk, beetroot and cress, a pariser bøf, a smoked herring with egg and microgreens, a fried plaice with fresh shrimp and dill, and a veal tongue with curry and flowers, with craft beers and waters throughout for €70/pax.
A modern, high-end brasserie recommended by the Michelin Guide and perfectly located in the heart of the Copenhagen. I visited in the evening, and the atmosphere was truly wonderful. The brasserie serves traditional cuisine and is mostly frequented by locals, which I absolutely loved.
The food was both generous and delicious. I had a baked cod to start, followed by a beautifully prepared sole, and finished with a superb baked Alaska for dessert. You certainly won’t leave this place feeling hungry.
The service was impeccable—warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic and memorable dining experience.
This is our go-to place for smørrebrød. The best in the city. Awesome location, great food and the personal service always impresses us. Place has a great wine list so for dinner this is also a great spot.
Be aware that being AWESOME reservation is needed. Many customer and many regulars.
