We had a truly wonderful time at Riva dei Frati. We were given such a warm welcome, and they took so much time to answer all our questions. The wine - especially the Brut - is excellent. I highly recommend a visit there to everyone!
The Italian hospitality, wines, and atmosphere of this family winery are on another level. We felt very welcome and had an amazing wine tasting experience with Claudia. She is not only a Prosecco expert but also an amazing, warm person. We also had the chance to visit the winery and meet the whole family - such wonderful people with big hearts, great humore, and big knowledge! We felt in love with Valdobbiadiene region and people! Me and some other students are studying abroad right now in Venice and decided to come visit the vineyard. We accidentally arrived at the wine shop and the owners were so nice to pick us up because we had no other way to get there which started the trip off amazingly. When we arrived they took us up the hill to look at the view from the mountain which was insane. Then at the vineyard we were met with a delicious cheese and meat spread then we started the wine tasting. All of the wines were so different and delicious i ended up buying 5/6 and am trying to force them in my bag home. They did a great job of explaining the wines and the different areas. Then they brought a homemade chicken and pumpkin dish which was delicious. Also bread was provided throughout the whole experience. Everything throughout the whole day was so so good. Literally this experience was one of our most favorite of all during abroad which is saying a lot. 10000000000/10 you must go here!!!!!!!!
The Prosecco and the warm hospitality left a lasting impression. We spent wonderful hours learning a great deal about the region and the production of Prosecco. Highly recommended.
