Izakaya Den

We are visiting Denver and had an absolutely wonderful experience at Izakaya Den! We sat at the sushi bar and really enjoyed the interaction with the knowledgeable chefs with placing our orders. My partner and I shared an order of 7 different nigiri (in photos (3): Aji, Sawara, Mikan Tai; (4): Aburi Kinmedai, New Zeland King Salmon (smoked), Aburi Toro, and Tako). We also shared a rainbow roll. Our favorites were the Smoked Salmon and the Aburi Toro. Each of the Nigiri were garnished beautifully with different flavors to complement the flavor of the fish. Some garnishes were quite strong, (e.g. some with heavy wasabi, the mandarin zest on the Mikan Tai), so perhaps ask if that isnt the experience you are after. The rainbow roll was pretty standard -- not the most flavorful but was a good value to add to the nigri. We finished off with their seasonal pineapple upsidedown cake which was delightful. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back when visiting again!

Everything about this dinner was fantastic 😍 birthday with a friend. Sushi selection was excellent and we loved it as all. The green tea cake for dessert was beautiful and subtle with faint sweetness. Excellent service and beautiful atmosphere. Reservation required.

Attentive staff, fresh and flavorful food, overall a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is unique, spacious, and upscale. My daughter and I had a wonderful dinner at Izakaya Den tonight. We walked in and were seated immediately at the sushi bar, which I love. Our server was Alex C, he was fantastic. He was very attentive and suggested some seasonal fish to us that were excellent. We tried all of his recommendations and were not disappointed. The sushi chefs were very fun to watch and friendly. It was such a nice experience at a fabulous restaurant.

Wow! My fifth time and it just keeps getting better and better. Server Sam was top notch. Patrick the manager gave us VIP service. Hostess team too. Party of 5 had 2 apps. 2 Watsu Rolls, 2 New Salmon Rolls and 2 banana cream pie desserts, plus 6 Nigiri pairs and 3 other rolls. Perfect. Thanks Team Den. I’m in awe!
