The service vary depending on the staff. The first time I went there the lady staff was very warm and nice. The food was 4/5 and gives value for your money. Curry and rice won’t run out and drinks were available too.
But we went there again today (Saturday) just around 12:30 and everything was almost out. What happened? It was supposed to be an eat-all-you can and it was still early for your male staff to tell us that you won’t refill the mango lassi anymore and that “everyone was drinking it” that’s why you ran out. Not only that, we were waiting for the meat to be refilled but they did not do it, salad was zero too. We just sat for 30 mins waiting for everything to be refilled but to no avail.
That’t why we just decided to pay and then this happened…wasn’t it rude for you’re staff to put my card on the table and the receipt too? I would definitely NOT return to this restaurant anymore. And I don’t recommend this, too if you want a good customer service you’ll be disapointed. Please be more accomodating. We are customers.
It seems like many of the customers in the city center are discerning. Three types of curry, all-you-can-eat for 1,000 yen, is a pretty good deal these days. The curry flavor (spiciness) is tailored to Japanese tastes, so it's easy to eat. It's not curry rice, so as long as you keep that in mind, it's delicious. However, the naan and curry buffet are quite high in calories, so it might be best to eat it after a workout. There are counter seats, so it's fine for solo lunches. I'm a bit concerned about the height of the tables. I like the flavor, but the spicy dishes may not appeal to all customers.
I stayed at the APA Hotel and enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the Madras Spice restaurant on the first floor.
What particularly impressed me was the all-you-can-eat authentic curry that was available in the morning! Several types of curry, naan, and rice were available, so you could enjoy as much as you liked. The butter chicken curry was mellow and easy to eat, even in the morning.
What made me even more happy was that Nagoya specialties such as chicken wings and doteni were also on the breakfast menu. The chicken wings were well-seasoned and juicy, while the doteni was rich and flavorful, making it a great choice for eating rice.
The menu was filled with dishes that evoked a Nagoya vibe, further enhancing my travel mood. In addition to curry and Nagoya cuisine, there was also a wide selection of salads, Japanese and Western side dishes, and desserts, making for a well-balanced breakfast. The restaurant was spacious and clean, making it a comfortable place to start your morning.
I went there for lunch.
It's a curry buffet, so there were six types of curry.
There were also salads, yogurt, chicken, etc., but not many side dishes.
However, I went there to eat curry, so it wasn't a problem.
The curry is served in small dishes like those used in India.
There was saffron rice and white rice.
The naan is served freshly baked.
Some people said it didn't go well with curry, but there was also miso soup.
I was happy that they had chai and lassi as drinks.
