We had the opportunity to dine last night at Picual in Rishon LeZion, a new Kosher Mehadrin restaurant — and it was truly something unique. This is not your typical dining spot. The ambiance is extremely elegant, fine-dining style, with a strong theme of nature throughout — olives, branches, and earthy touches that create a refined atmosphere. It immediately feels like you’ve stepped into an experience rather than just a meal. There’s no standard menu. Instead, it runs like a chef’s restaurant where a curated sequence of dishes is brought out, each explained in detail. The flavors were creative and very interesting, and while portions aren’t large (don’t expect to leave stuffed), everything was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. It reminded me most of Tierra Sur in California or Manhattan’s Reserve Cut — upscale, curated, and immersive — but with a distinctly kosher Mehadrin twist. Honestly, I don’t think there’s another place quite like it in Israel, maybe even worldwide. This style of dining isn’t for everybody. It’s for those who appreciate fine dining, thoughtful presentation, and trying new flavors rather than those looking for hearty portions. But if you’re someone who enjoys that kind of experience, Picuela is absolutely worth a visit. The price point is certainly on the higher side, so I’d recommend it for special occasions. But overall, I had a very enjoyable evening, and it’s refreshing to see a Mehadrin option at this level of quality and creativity.

This place is amazing the food is stunningly presented with a robust of flavors!! Ronnie was a amazing host accommodating everyone and making the athmoshre truly unforgettable!!!

This was a fantastic experince and I would highly recommend going and trying it out. The food, service and atmosphere of the place was excellent. All the dishes were enjoyable and unique.
