Nice, helpful and attentive staff, new and clean interior. Burger was really fresh meat and delicious with vegan and gluten-free options on the menu. 👍 Addition: been here several times now as it’s our local and manager very friendly and professional and everyone helpful and cheerful 😄, lovely place to eat nice food and chill. We took my family from abroad there for a pint and they absolutely loved it!!!!
We met up here with a group of old school friends (9 of us) and was sat at one long table. The waitress took our drink orders quickly and left us plenty of time to decide on what we wanted to eat. The food came out together and all the orders were correct. Portion sizes were good and more than enough for some of us. Most of us managed a pudding, however those that had custard with their pudding were a little disappointed by the small jug of custard. We were surprised that the place was not more busy, but that was probably due to it being January and not quite pay day for some people. Overall the food was good, but didn't like the 12.5% service charge ( although it was deserved, I would prefer adding my own tip).
Came here for a cheeky pint in the sunshine with the better half and we shared a Camembert. The lovely girl at the bar was very helpful and talkative throughout our experience here. The cheese was covered in a delish garlicky butter and was honestly phenomenal. Will definitely be coming back again very soon to further indulge.
I’m new to the area and this is one of my local pubs. Went with a group of 5 for Sunday dinner. Food was great. I had pork of belly which was delicious. Others had lamb and beef and they all said positive things about the food too. Wait staff were helpful, quick and friendly. Booked again for Sunday lunch in January with another group. Will definitely be popping into this pub for a lunch when working from home as it’s a 5 minute walk away. Recommended.
Not sure what to think. Went on a Saturday night. Bar area was busy. Huge restaurant area was empty. Tried to order bar snacks at 8pm from the menu displayed on the bar. Staff "errrrrm I think we're not doing food any more" 8.50pm food orders being brought out by waitress. Ask again if I can order bar snacks, menus still displayed. Staff, "We're not doing food at the minute" Saturday night and stopping food at 8pm? Imagine if they had customers at full capacity, at a guess 10-15 tables. Also not accepting cash isn't great. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong but I thought Saturday would be a good night to serve food.
