Excited to have more grocery stores in the area! This Aldi has very reasonable priced groceries compared to many of the other stores in the area! It’s a bit smaller than most grocery stores but has a lot of the staples.
As someone who has never experienced Aldi I’m grateful we have one now near lower HK! This area has been a food desert for so long with only overpriced crappy food emporium, no Whole Foods, no TJ’s. We shopped there today and it wasn’t too crowded and the store is brand new. Never seen prices for groceries this low in Manhattan. It’s a great location near the subways for a quick stop on the way home. Glad that we don’t have to pay $18 for a frozen pizza anymore!
Finally went to the new Aldi close to home i found the cheese area had a nice selection I was disappointed in selection of prepared frozen food produce was not great either. I did find some things I used to get in queens store 100 calories pack chocolate cookies ice cream looked good and frozen pizza had nice selection. But I recall much more frozen prepared food in other Aldi's. Also seemed hard to find staff to ask if you are looking for something. No lines and store not crowded. I'll go back but not daily. It's a 20 minute walk from home
Thank you thank you all those complaining about this store shouldn’t !!!! Nothing to complain about it’s a fast paced European concept at affordable prices at last !!! Nothing to complain more rip off NYC supermarket! Let’s get the competition started and other rip off supermarkets fall into line! Well done ALDI ! It’s going to save 100s of $ a month now on our good bills , and food at European standard NO MORE illegal colourings preservatives etc well done Aldi
Wonderful new Aldi, close to the Port Authority, probably the best prices in town, ideal place to get snacks & picnic friendly foods before heading to Central Park. They also carry some seed-oil free items like hummus & chips but check the labels, and don't forget the 'middle aisle' has some great seasonal & home goods too!
