This past Tuesday at 8pm, I had such a horrible experience at this Meijer that I don't ever want to return. This was my favorite Meijer however from my previous visit in June to this one in August, the transformation was the worst. Items couldn't be found because they were in their proper places so it took longer to shop as I had to look for the items myself hoping they were there. There were teenage boys running through the aisles tossing and breaking children's toys while cursing aloud for everyone to hear and they followed me in the store harassing me. I didn't use self serve checkout because I was exhausted after returning from a funeral in Detroit. The young man ringing me up did not greet me. He had earbuds on and when I spoke to him he grunted. He left all the items I purchased at the end of the belt, didn't bag the items leaving me to do it. He said nothing to me when I left. There was no manager to be found to report the worker so he won't be called on his crap. First, Management should be visible and accessible. Second, You don't just hire the first person who applies for the job. You pay attention to how they carry themselves and see if they have enough self-respect to act in a dignified manner instead having no problem acting a fool. All the employees and Meijer lose in the end. There are too many other places to shop for such items whether another grocery store or the internet. The customers get offended and insulted, but they don't lose because we have options. If you leave the store disheveled, the most compromised individuals visiting your store will sense that and damage it and the workers who don't want to work will do just as much damage. That makes sense, right? Sounds logical? Yeah it takes effort and time to do it properly for all to win. There are creative positive ways to make that happen so all are happy,
