Went to have a late lunch after a long bike ride. I had heard a lot about this place and I antes to try it. The area is beautiful and the atmosphere is very uplifting and fresh overall great vibes. I ordered the schnitzel which is they’re most bought item and a oat milk latte. The schnitzel was incredible, it’s had a great crispy coating yet very juicy and full of flavor. It is seasoned to perfection and garnished with chili flakes and chilli oil that gives it a light touch yet not overpowering the flavor of the chicken. It also has a side salad that is very fresh and delicious flavor to the dressing which also included some of that chili oil. My only downside is that I didn’t love the oat milk used in the latte, but other than that great place!
The flavors here aren’t just good; they’re thoughtful, layered, and beautifully expressed on every plate.
For me, dining out isn’t just about eating something delicious—I can cook good food at home. What I look for is “delicious in beauty,” where presentation, creativity, and taste all come together in a way I couldn’t recreate myself. That’s what makes Destroyer stand out.
Each dish feels intentional, almost like a curated experience. The aesthetics draw you in first, but the taste fully earns your attention. It’s the perfect balance of artistry and flavor—proof that food can be both visually inspiring and deeply satisfying.
If I’m going out, this is exactly the kind of experience I want: where taste meets art.
One star lost on that I think 🤔 I did not get the correct ube lavender. The one I got was like a matcha 🍵 not a purple lavender, and my Americano ☕️, I really like it the bitter the better, not sweet with cinnamon?
Still love this Neighbourhood!!! My Neighbourhood.
Peaceful, cozy, and artistic.
I visited Destroyer and had such a unique experience! The concept of this place is very modern and creative — it feels more like a design-forward café than a typical restaurant.
The food was beautifully presented and full of interesting flavors. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and different from the usual brunch spots in LA.
The atmosphere is minimalist and stylish, with a calm and aesthetic vibe that makes it perfect for a relaxed, inspiring meal.
Overall, it’s a great spot if you’re looking for something необычное and memorable in Los Angeles. Definitely worth a visit!
Destroyer in Culver City is an absolute gem. The food is creative, thoughtfully prepared, and full of bold, unique flavors that really stand out. Every dish feels intentional and beautifully presented. It’s no surprise the restaurant has been awarded a Michelin star, which truly reflects the quality and consistency of the experience. The atmosphere is modern yet relaxed, and the service is friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing. A perfect spot for a memorable brunch or a casual meal that still feels special. Highly recommend.
Very unique menu for brunch. I got the rice porridge with a poached egg on top and loved it. I also got to try the rockfish dish and would not personally order it but my sister liked it a lot. The french toast also looked and tasted incredible. The single slice of bread was the thickest piece of french toast I’ve ever seen. I got the forest herbal tea which was a nice soothing choice. It was a $40 endeavor for a cup of tea and bowl of porridge which is on the pricey side but definitely worth it for the experience.
