Farzi London is a modern Indian restaurant situated in the heart of London's West End, known for its bold, creative, and contemporary Indian cuisine. It distinguishes itself through an innovative approach, blending traditional Indian flavors with British seasonal ingredients and inventive culinary techniques. The restaurant offers an evolved menu and is particularly noted for its convenient location opposite His Majesty’s Theatre, making it an ideal spot for pre-theatre dining. The ambiance is described as beautifully colourful yet tasteful, with a nice vibe often enhanced by live music, and it also offers private dining areas.
Customer feedback is largely positive, praising the 'incredible' and 'different kind of curry with style and sophistication' that offers unique flavors and presentation. The service is consistently highlighted as 'superb,' 'great,' and 'sweet,' with staff members like Anjali and Savio receiving specific mentions for their excellent service. The ambiance, including live music, contributes to a 'nice vibe,' making it recommended for 'special occasions.' While many dishes are lauded as 'wonderful' and 'excellent,' some mixed reviews mention that certain thali inclusions were unexpected (e.g., naan/rice not both included), papad was occasionally soggy, or there was a perceived 'lack of meat' in some pre-theatre mains (e.g., Chicken Railway, Fish Curry), leading to an 'okay' or 'average' experience for a few dishes.

Wow! What a find. A different kind of curry with style and sophistication. Such a joy to be surprised. Delightful dishes that were different in quality, taste and presentation, and reasonably priced as well.
Great staff and ambience. Really excited to have found Farzi.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Farzi London, opting for the Vegetarian Taste of Farzi tasting menu. The starters were truly memorable — the Tandoori Soya Chaap with its Bihari-style marinade was outstanding, and the Dry Fruit Samosa Cornetto was a creative delight with its tamarind chutney and raspberry flake snow.
The mains were equally impressive — the Rajma Masala was rich and slow-cooked to perfection, the Palak Paneer silky and fragrant, and the Dal Makhani was pure comfort on a plate. The butter naan and raita rounded it all off beautifully.
One downside: as a table of two, we ordered the tasting menu individually but everything arrived as sharing plates. This made portions feel smaller than the price justified. Individual plating per person would work much better.
A special mention to our server Ashin, who was warm, attentive, and made the whole evening feel extra special.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food!!!!
Service was fantastic. Rajesh greeted us at the door and handled our booking with ease. There is a beautiful bar in the centre of the restaurant and the decor is modern and comfortable. Loved the Pau bhaji pie, arancini balls and chevre kebabs!! We will definitely be back with our husbands for a date night here!!!🥰 P.s. the chocolate brownie dessert was outstanding!! Perfectly served and warm !!!

Food was good with a solid selection of vegetarian dishes, and the more experimental fusion elements on the menu (e.g., dal arancini) tasted and felt thoughtful and well-balanced rather than gimmicky. The textures and layering of flavours worked well throughout.
On the downside, we were a table of four and each ordered the Farzi tasting menu, with a few additional dishes on top. Despite this, EVERYTHING was served on sharing plates. While this can work in some contexts, in this case it felt unnecessarily restrictive and made the portions feel reduced in a way that didn’t match the pricing or the structure of the meal.
Overall, my impression is that this style of service might work better for solo diners or possibly two people sharing. For larger groups, I’d recommend either avoiding the tasting menu or explicitly requesting individual plating per person to avoid the experience feeling diluted.
Verdict: go for the food if you're alone but the service style can significantly affect the overall value depending on group size.

Had such a wonderful experience at Farzi for our Mother’s Day lunch 🌸 Absolutely loved the variety of dishes, both veg and non-veg options were delicious and beautifully presented. The little thoughtful touches made it even more special, especially the cute Polaroid picture taken at the end along with the sweet dessert takeaway. Such a lovely memory to cherish 💕 Highly recommend!
