I quite like the atmosphere. It’s cavernous therefore it feels relaxing.
Food wise. It’s quite standard. Had venison carpaccio which was very good. And lamb roast which was standard. Chips was a bit dear for £6. Very small portion. Tea… very weak. £3.50 per pot is very steep even for this place.
Service was standard. No one stood out. Standard British service.
Amazing space just outside London. There is a fabulous garden worth to be seen during bloom season, great kitchen serving Sunday roasts, pizza, desserts, and a lovely gift store with natural products. Also it is surrounded by a huge natural park, where you can enjoy ponds, woods and nature. Family and dog friendly 🌲🐶
We had afternoon tea. Good price (it included parking as well which is a massive win as it's £9 for just over 2 hours parking!!)
Mix of vegetarian and meat menu. Taste of nearly everything was very good. Texture of some of the cakes was a little weird! But generally a good afternoon tea. Well presented. Didn't look much but very full afterwards. Service good, a little difficult to get attention as minimal people there. Bit attentive at the start and served quickly. Not bottomless tea sadly!
Fabulous afternoon tea. Having had many an afternoon tea in this area, this one was one of the best. Scones crunchy on outside, soft and fluffy in the middle- and warm. Plenty of jam and cream. Sandwiches delicious- particularly the salmon one. Absolutely loved the little chocolate flower pot filled with chocolate mousse. Delicious! And good value. Will be going again. Had already eaten something before photo taken!
Akshit was very professional, helpful and friendly.
The field to fork menu was AMAZING, beautifully presented and very tasty.
Overall, a very impressive dining experience.
