A fantastic local market with a Middle Eastern bazaar vibe. There are plenty of things to explore, from street food and fresh fruits and vegetables to seafood and much more. The food stalls are always crowded, with tempting aromas and colorful displays everywhere. You'll find Moroccan, Lebanese, French cuisine—you name it! I didn't actually try any of the food; I went there mainly to enjoy the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended if you're looking for a different experience in the heart of Paris.
Such a fun place to discover in Paris! 🇫🇷 We visited the Marché couvert des Enfants Rouges with my little boy, Little JG, and loved the atmosphere. So many different food stands and things to discover.
We stopped at The Butcher of Paris and really enjoyed the meat, bread and salted butter. 🥩🧈 Everything was delicious!
I’m sharing our little video so you can see the market and our experience for yourself. Definitely worth adding to your list if you’re visiting Paris and love discovering local food spots. ❤️
We walk, we discover, we eat… that’s our favorite way to explore Paris! 🇫🇷✨
Visited Marché Couvert des Enfants Rouges, a covered market dating back to 1628 as the "petit marché du Marais", offering fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and seafood as well as food stalls and small restaurants.
Overall time spent at this place was 30 mins. To walk the market will probably take you 10-15 mins including waiting time for the LULU crepes which was incredibly nice.
It was not easy to find as Google Maps suggested the wrong location, but I finally managed. It had a very good vibe on Sunday—a bit crowded, but you could queue for what you wanted. The shop owners were nice, and some spoke English. Both cards and cash were accepted. I had some very fresh oysters and excellent wine.
