This was my favorite meal I had while in Argentina! I did come at 7:30pm and it was very busy so I sat outside which was still nice. The servers were very attentive and did well given that I do not speak Spanish well. The complementary bread and focaccia with the chimichurri sauce and pickles was so good!! best sauce I’ve had. I had th 1/2 portion Bife de Ojo — incredible steak. They also have a wide range of wine by the glass. Highly recommend coming here!

BEST STEAK WE’VE HAD IN SOUTH AMERICA! They Know “Jugoso” = Medium Rare 👍🏽 A bit tough to find according to the Google map directions. It’s actually further up the road than shown and there is a wooden stairway by three restaurant signs up on the hillside. Also a driveway if you have a car. The quaint restaurant setting is tucked away in lush beautiful trees with a gravel path to the outdoor patio. They also have indoor seating but if the weather is nice opt for outdoors! I just loved the whole vibe which is very inviting and comfortable. The menu: simple variety. Prices and Portions are ForTwo. You can request 1/2 portion. Nice wine list. I had the Ojo de Bife (RibEye), thick, juicy, delicious with so much flavor, and it was Medium Rare! 1/2 portion was perfect size. Super fresh Salad was embellished with radishes, beets, pickled bits, tomatoes, carrots + . We ordered the papas fritas (fries) Yum ! Thin cut, hot, crispy, lightly salted. Nice dessert menu; we heard the tiramisu was the hit. It looked delicious, I should have ordered it for Take Away! They have counter seating if you’re eating alone and picnic style tables if you have friends. The waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. Our food came out quickly and hot. We did not get to meet the owner, Mati, but this restaurant came highly recommended from our friends, Jeff & Stacy, who are Locals here in beautiful Bariloche. After our dining experience I can understand why. We had a short stroll back to our hotel where, in the lounge, I told two couples about it who were wondering which of the many restaurants they should experience. This Is It — Alto El Fuego

Fantastic steak, good introduction to Argentine meat. The portions are huge, so dont order too many sides. You can also order half portions of the meat so that you can try many different ones. Go with the ojo de bife, its the best. Good and helpful service, dont have to wait for long. Its a crowded place, so come when they open or book a table.

Amazing lamb and trout. Nice smoky and delicious, and extremely tender. Not too fatty which makes it delicious to eat. The vegetable and potato as a side are also scrumptious. The waiters and service is excellent. Only factor is that it is quite expensive…

Wow, such a good vibe. My partner was here 12 years ago! And we went back to travel in Argentina again and the restaurant was a must-see. He was in heaven. Everything is delicious. The staff is lovely. Recommended!
