We dined at the restaurant on our second evening in the area; it was within easy walking distance of our hotel.
The presentation (each dish resembled a Jackson Pollock painting), the quality of the ingredients, the service, the attention to detail, and the meticulous care taken with every aspect throughout the three-hour meal—all of this was unlike anything we had ever experienced anywhere else in the world.
For instance, in the gleaming open kitchen, no fewer than 12 chefs were at work—clad in crisp, white uniforms—each responsible for a specific task: one for sauces, one for the oven, one for the stovetop, one for plating, one for final presentation, one for quality control before the dishes left the kitchen, and so on.
Towards the end of the meal, the chef came out to chat briefly with the guests (there were only four tables and 12 diners in total that evening), thanked them for choosing to dine there, and shook their hands.
A once-in-a-lifetime experience.
