NENI was such a fantastic food find right in the middle of the market!
We started with the Sabich, a Tel Aviv street-food specialty with falafel, eggplant, hummus, and eggs. I had never tried it before, and every single element was delicious. The falafel was fantastic, and the combination of everything together was absolutely amazing.
We then had the Jerusalem Plate, featuring marinated chicken that was juicy, incredibly flavorful, and bursting with spices. It had a depth of flavor unlike anything I’ve had before and came with warm, fluffy pita. Honestly, both dishes were outstanding—this was one of those meals where everything just worked.
We paired everything with beer, and it made for the perfect market meal.
We didn’t have a reservation and were seated immediately on a Saturday. The restaurant is huge, so walk-ins seem very doable, although a reservation is always a safe bet.
The location is fantastic—right in the middle of the market, so you can wander around, take in the atmosphere, and then sit down for a delicious meal.
Highly recommend NENI! If you love bold, vibrant flavors, this is definitely worth a stop.
We absolutely love NENI—whether it’s in Berlin or Vienna. So, of course, we had to try the restaurant at the Naschmarkt. As always, the food was incredibly delicious and wonderfully fresh. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was simply fantastic. You’re basically sitting right in the middle of the market, watching all the lively hustle and bustle around you. We’d definitely come back the next time we’re in Vienna!
It can maybe get a little rowdy. The food here is BOMB. Umami flavors all over the place. We were walking by and spotted it randomly. Good and quick service just after the rush during an afternoon.
The shish kebab is SOLID, the beef and lamb flavors are delicately mixed and the sauces and breading and parsley SMACK.
The chicken one, I think it was called Kumash? with the hummus and the sauce and just omg it’s also bomb. It’s a little heavy after working my way halfway, so go with the kebab if you want a lighter meal for your palate. Portions here are great, you don’t need an appetizer
I sat outside, but the tables were dirty. I tried the Hamshuka. The texture of the hummus was really good, but I found it lacking in flavor. I don’t think I would order it again. The pita bread, however, was excellent.
