Highlights- host was amazing and sat us without a reservation. Server was busy but attentive and informative. Nice, beachy modern design, garage door to one side where the chefs counter was with tons of natural light, banquette seating and a few 4 and 6 tops sprinkled in. There were two deuces open and although the banquette was the better table, we were seated at the center table near the busser station with all of their mise trays. Ordered two courses plus dessert. Second course lagged over 45 minutes, but it was also during their rush so we didn’t stress. Floor felt bustling and adequately staffed, bar was rocking somms were doing their thing. Everything was solid. NYC price point so no sticker shock from us. Lowlights- playlist was hot garbage and did not match the vibe. Playing corny radio hits from the 90s felt either like a mistake or trying to be funny but it was really just jarring. More of a “lights and music” critique than anything.
One thing we were dying to ask!! The backwaiter changed their earrings atleast 4 times during our dinner service. An uncrustable pair, lemons, a donut or a bagel…it was fascinating. Def added to the experience.
I have been wanting to try Judy's for a while. The meal was good, but not great. Nothing we ordered blew me away. I almost feel like they tried to hard to put a creative spin on their meals and it fell flat. The service was excellent and its a great space! The meal wasn't bad, but it wasn't something I would rush back to get. However, that being said, I wouldn't not recommend it. I think it worth a try!
Caesar salad. Foccacia. Potato latke. Potato side. Chicken savoy. Pasta. Steak. Corn. Service. Drinks. All great.
Party of 6 and all were happy with a wonderful dinner.
The candle and sorbet at end was a thoughtful gesture from our server after a casual mention of our birthdays being a couple days apart.
One of my all time favorite spots! The food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful. The only drawback is the limited parking. But it's well worth driving around looking for a spot.
Check out Harry's for an after dinner drink. They have a very unique and delicious assortment of drinks that are not to be missed.
This was our first time at Judy’s and I cannot recommend this place enough! The food was incredible but what stood out the most was the hospitality! Between the ladies at the front desk and our server, I think her name was Suzette.. incredible! Another minor thing I noticed was the silverware. They have all Sabre Paris utensils, which I’ve been having on my eye on for so long. After tonight, I actually splurged and bought a set LOL.
Definitely order the side of corn and the pastrami spaghetti.. chefs kiss!
