Amazing experience! The food was unbelievably good. I’m so happy to have been able to experience it. My wife and I did the tasting menu to celebrate being in France during our anniversary. I’ll post the pastry cart here to not spoil the surprise of the other dishes. If you are coming from Strasbourg you can easily get to the restaurant by train (it’s a 1 min walk from the station you get dropped off at). When getting home, the trains don’t run very late and the meal service for the tasting menu is about 3hrs. I used a car service called Eco VTC that wasn’t too expensive (78 euros) and very punctual.

It’s not that the Alsace does not generally offer excellent dining opportunities. But this here is outstanding and rightfully distinguished with 2 Michelin stars. Very beautifully situated restaurant close to the train station in Obernai. Wonderful atmosphere, super kind and attentive service. Food of highest quality that sources mainly from the region and gives it a distinct influence. The menu has a great dramaturgy, looks fantastic and tastes excellent. Every dish makes sense. Extensive wine menu with a strong focus on the Alsace. Wine recommendations were insightful and superb. This was not the last time. Strongly recommended!

Our favorite was the first dish of small bites - a lovely and creative journey through the Alsace region. Pairings were perfect. The rest of the dishes were very well prepared, and while not as exceptionally creative, they were on-theme and we enjoyed experiencing the typical food of the area. Service was attentive and preemptive without being overbearing, just as expected for this level.

Incredible how tasty the food is.. the dishes are simple (i mean ingredients) but composition is absolutely amazing! Everything made with extremely high precision, no mistakes, service very very attentive! At the end chef came to us and spend like 10 minutes talking with us and sharing some experiences from his work..that was really something unusual 🥰 if i could give 10 stars.. i would give 11 😁👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
