Lafkos Traditional Bakery

Old style home made bread, cheese pies, Bougatza, and more. The pies I bought looked really good but when I bit to it, it was not fresh at all. Perhaps this bakery is mostly known for brick over cooked bread. Disappointing for pies for sure.

We’ve been coming to Lafkos for years, and Yiannis’ bakery is always one of our first stops. Fresh bread, tasty pastries, great local products, and genuine Greek hospitality. Yiannis is friendly, honest, and always makes us feel welcome. Every year we also bought outstanding local olive oil from him. A true gem in the heart of Lafkos. Highly recommended!

Great traditional bakery, limited selection but most taste very good. As they seem to be baking all the time in the traditional oven, don’t forget to ask what’s cooking. Cheese, spinach and sausage pies were all very tasty

The smell from this beautiful bakery just lured you down the cobbled road towards its entrance and the waft of freshly baked bread was like an aphrodisiac when you walked in. We caught the lunchtime batch and drove back to Chorto and it was still warm when we cut into the loaf for an afternoon snack. Absolutely delicious and well worth the drive up the mountain roads to find this place.

We came here with high expectations and were very disappointed. All the baked goods we bought were tastelss, and some even stale. Not worth your visit
