Late May visit. Two weeks in Italy and this was our favorite meal. You get two Antonios for the prices of one. Both passionate about what goes on the plate but also quite the animated and entertaining cook. What I appreciated especially is the attention to detail and creativity of the accompanied sides and everything that goes on the plate.
Focaccia with speck, Stracciatella, walnuts entertaining the taste buds.
Eggplant parm - superb.
Paccheri with amberjack, saffron and orange zest - yes please.
Seared amberjack with Fava beans and pancetta was expertly done
Desserts - One more sensational than the previous.
An absolute triumph
Wow, every meal in Praino has been our new favorite, but Chef Antonio truly takes the cake. The menu changes daily based on what fresh ingredients are available. Everything here is made from scratch, their house made olive oil was outstanding and shines along with the piping hot fresh bread rolls, we had to request a second round of them. Italians are so friendly, but again Chef Antonio takes the cake, his tales about growing up in Positano and starting a new restaurant to provide for his young family was the icing on a perfect meal.
Incredible restaurant. We have nut allergies across our family and we were delighted to learn chef Antonio also shares our allergy. This was such a gift to be able to enjoy a beautifully authentic Italian meal, nut free. Chef’s presence at our table made the experience extra special - from making menu suggestions, to serving and clearing. What a treat!
The panoramic view was breathtaking. This restaurant was a highlight of our Amalfi vacation.
INCREDIBLE. The menu is truly special- Italian favorites, but with little twists that make them different from anything else you will eat in Italy.
The homemade bread and infused olive oils to start were so delicious. I asked Antonio to just give me whatever he recommended for a Primi, Pasta, and a vegetable side. I ended up with a plate of fresh mussels in a fantastic broth, a pasta of tomato sauce and fish, and a variety of perfectly cooked vegetables. It was so good that I ordered another pasta, and he brought me a gnocchi with beef and asparagus. Everything was among the best I have eaten in my many times in Italy. The wines were also fantastic and unique to the region. Finally, I had tiramisu for dessert. I will be thinking about that tiramisu for a long time.
The restaurant itself is also very cute and hip. Yes, the prices are a little higher than the average trattoria. Yes, it’s absolutely worth it. You’ll taste the difference.
Antonio makes you feel instantly welcomed and cared for. He was the most wonderful host. His restaurant is a labor of love and it shows very clearly. Thank you for a truly memorable night, Antonio!
One of the best meals we ever had! We took a chance with an earlier dinner without a reservation and they graciously accommodated us. We had fantastic service and views. I had the lemon linguine with clams and my husband had a daily special of ravioli, these dishes were the type of great that has you smiling during every bite. If I could relive a dinner, it would surely be this one.
