My husband and I booked a reservation here for his birthday dinner while staying on property at the Ritz Carlton. Our one-of-a-kind server’s name was Anna and the amazing bartender‘s name was Michael who made us one of Chris’s famous drinks. Anna knew more about sushi and sake than anyone else I know. She kindly guided us through menu recommendations based on our likes and dislikes she asked us to share. She even challenged us by bringing a couple of tastes from the menu of items we never would’ve ordered on our own, yet absolutely LOVED. The black cod cannot be missed as well as the tuna crispy rice. We had such an amazing experience with the best service and the best food imaginable. Thank you to Anna and the entire Sakaba service and culinary team. We will be back! 🤤
Amazing time at Sakaba! Excellent menu that should hit the spot for anyone. We particularly loved the California roll with soy paper (not seaweed), as well as the lobster roll.
The sake menu is also on point and we asked for a flight to try a few different types.
In the winter, dress warm and ask to be seated outside. Lots of heaters, fireplaces, and blankets.
We’ll be back.
One of the biggest reasons I recommend this restaurant is because of the atmosphere. There’s an indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect for the summertime if you want to enjoy the nice weather. 🍃🌹🌸
The food is also very yummy, the seafood is very fresh, but here’s the deal: it is not cheap. I didn’t expect it to be! But I had higher expectations for what I was paying for.
My favorite things on the menu were the signature lobster roll, and the signature salmon avocado sisho. Those were def 10 out of 10.✨🍣
However, the reason I gave this restaurant a 4/5 was because generally the rest of the food was truly between a two to four out of five.
I think this restaurant is perfect to have a little bite with your family and friends but I wouldn’t recommend it as a place you would go to have a full meal.
I don’t want to miss out on mentioning that the service was spectacular!
Overall a def 4/5!
Really small and loud space, and really expensive! We reserved a table well in advance for Valentine's Day and were seated in between a coat rack and host stand, in a hallway.. definitely not ideal so ended up at the bar instead. The dining room is very small and loud, with servers constantly bumping into people. The service is great though. The food is good too, but overpriced. There are some other sushi restaurants in the area that offer better variety and value, so unless you're staying at the Ritz, I might not recommend this restaurant.
Had a 7:45pm reservation. Waited with my group for 25 minutes and saw 3 other parties seated ahead of us, some of whom did not have reservations for before us. When we finally asked if they were ever planning to seat us, we were told no and shown a table outside as our only option (it is winter, negative temps) with not enough seats for our group. This was a beyond dehumanizing and disgusting treatment, and the staff was extremely aggressive and rude throughout it all. We are also members of the club, so this is especially disappointing treatment. Do not recommend— they are rude and aggressive.
