I started off with my favorite, a diet Dr. Brown’s cream soda. To eat, I ordered a pastrami and tongue sandwich, along with a latke or potato pancake, and some matzo ball soup. The soup had good flavor, but was too salty. And the matzo ball was way too dense. Though, I did enjoy the fresh shredded chicken in the soup.
The pastrami was good overall, though the pieces I had didn’t seem very brined. The tongue was okay but came out a bit cold.
The standout was definitely the potato pancake, which was fantastic! It was hot, crispy, and full of flavor.
As all the other reviewers said, the sandwich portions are fantastic. A half of a pound of meat is unheard of in today's society. You literally need to share these sandwiches. Absolutely delicious! Our server was fantastic. Didn't have to ask for anything. Very pleasant and we wanted the right time of day. The restaurant was quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend
Was my first time here and drove an hour to come and order food to take back home. The corned beef was juicy and wonderful! The pastrami you can skip. So filled with gristle and fat. I kept having to spit out bits of gristle and fat. Ordered a few half sour pickles and they never made it into my bag. The coleslaw is very mayo heavy and could not detect even the slightest amount of vinegar. Great for those that just want full fat mayo slaw without flavor. For the prices, the distance and meh quality, I won’t make that trip again.
I’m all for paying for quality and an experience. Scott’s did not disappoint. I was craving a deli sandwich, one you could get in the 90s from a mom and pop local market. They’re hard to come by these days. I was led here and a little shocked at the price, but when I tell you, my craving was completely satiated? my craving was absolutely completely satiated, and the customer service was wonderful. Definitely worth investing in a meal here and supporting something local. I’ll definitely be back.
The biggest Brisket Beef sandwich I have ever had!! Delicious, fresh, pillowy rye bread. Big chunk potato salad. And of course, a diet Dr Brown cream soda. Heavenly! My server was a sweet heart and attentive.
