Vinette Edinburgh

A really excellent place for dinner with well executed dishes done by an great team of chefs. The toasted bread with butter infused with chicken fat was a terrific way to start and the terrine, checked hearts, roulad, burger and monk fish were all delicious. Cosy and friendly with nice drinks selection.

The home made bread tastes very good. The duck heart was amazing. If there was a bit fresh lemon juice or pomegranate vinaigrette as finishing touches, the dish would taste even lighter. The waitress didn’t ask how we like our steak. My steak came well done. I was shocked. But the quality and taste of the steak were very good. I would definitely come for another meal.

Been here for dinner with some friends and the entire experience was exceptional. After mentioning dietary allergens, a separate dairy free menu was printed with dairy free food (including bread) being provided. Food was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious, Vinette is definitely a new favourite!

Absolutely sensational addition to the Aizle group :) starters and appetizers were flawless, and mains were delectable. Sides were stunning as well. The texture of everything was probably what stood out most to me. Sauces were absolutely incredible. Everything was so inventive while feeling familiar at the same time. Desserts changed my life. The olive oil cake was 100% ratatouille food critic flashback moment. Can’t recommend more. New Edinburgh cult classic UPDATE FOR 2nd REVIEW: We, naturally, returned 4 days later because Vinette is just that memorable and palatable. This time around, I tried the beetroot carpaccio and it was so delicate and stunning. Other people in my party got the chicken liver parfait and scallops, which they loved. For my main dish, I got the monkfish again and it was just as incredible as the last time. Other people in my party got the pork collar, chicken, steak, and the burger and reviews were glowing down the board. We also tried the side greens salad (super yum, supper fennel-y,), and some picky bits from the starters and once again were blown away. Sweet treat was also sensational, pretty sure we've covered them all now ;) What stuck out the most to me was the staff remembering my dietary restrictions although I forgot to mention them! We ordered the tartiflette again which comes with a lard-y pancetta-y top (completely forgot about), and Jade made sure I got one without it! Such an accommodating venue and stellar front of house team. Everyone is so lovely and chatty, which is truly what sets this restaurant apart from many others. The Aizle Group standard is a through-line that is evident in all of their restaurants, which is why I always find myself coming back!! Great work, once again.
