Westlight was a great spot to spend the evening. The drinks were excellent, the service was solid, and the views are absolutely incredible. Watching the New York City skyline light up while seeing planes take off and land along the East River made for a unique experience.
If you’re looking for a rooftop with some of the best views in Brooklyn, Westlight is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere, cocktails, and scenery all came together for a memorable night.
Jasmine at the host stand was incredible. Extremely welcoming and had great energy to start off my first time there. I had no reservations and was trying to walk-in at around 4pm so it was starting to get busy. She got me in quickly. Michael was my server and he was great, kind and patient with me while it was my first time there so he talked me through the entire menu and gave me a few of his recommendations. Let me tell you… the food does NOT disappoint! It is incredible. Some places that have high rooftop views might skimp out on quality dishes, the Westlight does not. I highly recommend their shrimp dumplings! Honestly could’ve had about 5 orders of them. Also, their empanadas are a must-try, ask for a side of their house-made chipotle aioli sauce if you don’t order their fries! Lobster roll was really fresh, light for a lobster roll, it was good with their chipotle aioli sauce as well!
Wow! What a view!
This stunning roof top bar offers sweeping views of Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn.
Upscale bar menu and clever cocktails offering sure to wow anyone. Staff were lovely and really knowledgeable about their menu.
Whether you’re staying in the hotel or not this is a picturesque place to grab a drink and look out over the skyline.
I visited in the colder weather but I beat the terrace is a fun spot in the warmer months.
Cheers!
The food is just as incredible as the view of New York City. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this one does! I highly recommend the chicken empanadas and the fried calamari—they were delicious.
I took my mother to Westlight because I wanted to show her something truly beautiful, enjoy the views, and have a nice meal with cocktails—and everything was absolutely perfect.
The atmosphere is stunning, the views are breathtaking, and the overall vibe feels special from the moment you arrive. The cocktails were excellent, the food was delicious, and the service was outstanding.
What meant the most to me was how thoughtful and attentive the staff were with my mom. She can’t have gluten, and they took great care to make sure she felt comfortable and safe. Our server went above and beyond—he even changed a cocktail for my mom’s friend when she didn’t like it, without us even asking. That level of kindness and attention really stood out.
On top of being incredibly professional, our server was also very charming, which made the experience even more enjoyable 😊
It was a perfect evening, and a beautiful memory to share with my mother. I would absolutely recommend Westlight for a special occasion or for anyone who wants to experience NYC at its
