10000% worth it. I was initially skeptical but it is worth every single penny (also don’t worry it isn’t The Menu). My food/dining life will never be the same. Ynyshir crew thought of every single detail. Nothing missed. Wouldn’t want to say too much as it’ll ruin the magic but they’ve thought about everything even down to the handmade customised cutlery and scent of the place. I also recommend staying the night. Wow. Lovely place and the breakfast is the cherry on top.
The food speaks for itself. Insanely good. I would say the seafood part of the experience is slightly better. The beef part could do with a bit more tweaking and letting the beef speak for itself rather than masking it with other flavours. There is a place for such dishes of course, but one or two plain courses to celebrate the beef in itself would make the experience more complete.
Couldn’t get to thank Gareth and the other chefs in person the next day, but thank you guys and to the entire team. You guys are awesome.
Unbelievable dining experience. Once in a lifetime. Fantastic service, produce and skill on offer. The menu could be considered challenging in parts. 30 course taster menu, amazing ingredients, often raw, flavours expertly enhanced by chef Gareth Ward and team. All of the team have first-class knowledge of the ingredients and cooking techniques and impart their knowledge in a down-to-earth and informal way putting you completely at ease in a 2 Michelin star setting.
No words other than UNBELIEVABLE from start to finish! Stunning hotel and rooms, every member of staff we met were the most knowledgeable and friendliest professionals! The food! Every mouthful was eye wateringly delicious and balanced!
I’m still on cloud nine after my experience! I will never forget it thankyou to every single member that made my YEAR!

The Garden room was lovely.
The 30 course tasting menu was a real experience and we really enjoyed it sat theatre style facing the open kitchen with a vinyl DJ playing music, was great.

I enjoyed 95% of the dishes, all are amazing dishes, odd one a little too much flavour for us.
This was an amazing food experience & surpassed our expectations! From the time we arrived to when we left the service was superb! Fabulous food & a wonderful Front Row table! The attention to detail was incredible throughout! The DJ & his music just set the tone! Gareth & his fabulous team made our unique dining experience & stay extremely enjoyable & we will be back! We would just like to say a special thanks to Ava, Rory & Andy!
