A sweet variation of the calzone, filled with chocolate, offered as a dessert option.
A calzone is an Italian oven-baked folded pizza, originating from Naples. It is typically prepared with salted bread dough and stuffed with ingredients such as prosciutto or salami, mozzarella or ricotta, Parmesan or pecorino, and an egg. While regional variations may incorporate other common pizza toppings, the term specifically refers to an oven-baked rather than a fried folded pizza.
