A scone studded with chocolate chips, a popular baked good often served with coffee or tea.
A scone is a traditional British and Irish baked good, often made with wheat flour or oatmeal and leavened with baking powder. It can be either lightly sweetened or savory, and is distinct from yeast-leavened sweet breads. In the United States, scones are typically a different, sweeter, triangular baked product.
