Dessert featuring churros and ice cream. Described as topping off the meal perfectly.
A churro is a fried-dough pastry that originated in Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. It is prepared using choux pastry dough, which is piped into hot oil, often forming a star-tip or similar shape. This pastry is also common in Latin American and Philippine cuisines, as well as in regions like France and the Southwestern United States, due to immigration from Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking countries.
