Food is on point. Only reason I knocked it a star is because I really wanted a margarita and their salsa was not my favorite texture. But the nopalito tostada was generous sized and so delicious. Also tried the mole and it was delicious. Only problem was that it was only chicken offered. I'm a pork lover. I did order a Tecate which hit the spot but I really don't drink beer. The mole was not sweet but had a great flavor. The chicken enchiladas with the green sauce was flavorful and tangy. Their chips textures are great but the salsa was watery for what I like. But overall I'd definitely go back and try other items on the menu.
Thanks Tucson Foodie for this recommendation! Super welcoming atmosphere, and although they were very busy, had no wait for a table (at 5:30 pm). Ordered the Mole Con Pollo and Enchiladas Suizas De Pollo. The Enchiladas were good, but the Chicken Mole was exceptional! The Mole was rich and had a depth of flavor and the chicken was moist and tender. Lots of other items we would like to try on the menu, so the food and friendly service will definitely bring us back!
5 stars all the way. El Antojo Poblano was super delicious! We literally ate everything down to the horchata. The carne asada hurache, queso fundido , flautas , beans, everything was amazing, and the churro ice cream dessert topped it off perfectly. Definitely coming back to try more plates. So far, one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.
Used to be my favorite go-to for delicious Mexican food. Would have been a resounding five star if not for tonight. First we arrive with two under two and they do not have enough high chairs (another family with a child was already using one). They weren’t apologetic they simply shrugged it off. We decided to try to stay and make it work. But our server took more than 10 minutes to come over to greet us and take our drink order. She never checked in on us after that. We had to request more chips from someone else only be informed they charge for more than one basket of chips and salsa - a new policy because the dozens of times we have eaten there before it has never been that way. Overall the waitress was simply terrible. We had to place our order twice because she didn’t get it right the first time. We had to wait way longer than we should have - especially without proper seats for our children. Overall I love the food and usually have a great experience here but tonight, with the female waitress was simply terrible.
Small place, cozy, very nice setting, fast efficient and friendly service, food was amazing, waiter was working his butt off, yet never lost his ability to be nice and smile. Love the place and priced so fair! Excellent food!
