Our Favourite Place in Doha ❤️ My husband, our friends and I first visited Amaru on 25th May 2025, and I deliberately waited before writing this review. I wanted to see if our wonderful first experience would continue over time. Now, more than a year later, I can honestly say that Amaru is our favourite place in Doha! From the security team and hosts to the restaurant staff and bouncers, everyone is warm, friendly and welcoming. They always greet us with a smile and make us feel at home. A special mention to April, Faris, Raad, Maureen, Louis and Abdelrhman—they have been amazing to us from day one and have consistently provided such warm and attentive service. Yassine is also always attentive, and the bartenders make superb cocktails! The ambiance is beautiful—warm, cozy, lively and vibrant. When the roof opens in good weather, it makes the whole experience even more special. We absolutely love the Thursday live bands, especially because there are different bands every week. Yesterday we enjoyed After Six, one of our favourites—their choice of songs, beautiful voices and unique musical style create such a wonderful atmosphere. The DJ during the band breaks keeps the energy going, and for EDM lovers, Friday’s Doha Gossip is another great night. We also celebrated New Year’s Eve at Amaru, and it was fantastic. Hats off to the entire team for putting together such an amazing celebration—it was truly a night to remember! The beef sliders are delicious, and the overall food and drinks are excellent. What really keeps us coming back, though, is the people. We’ve visited so many restaurants, lounges and pubs around Doha, but Amaru has become our regular weekend spot. The genuine hospitality and consistent service make every visit special. I highly recommend Amaru without hesitation. If you’re looking for great ambiance, excellent service, delicious food and fantastic live music, this is definitely the place to go. One small tip: make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends, as tables fill up quickly. Also ask the staff about Marriott Bonvoy and More Cravings discounts, as there are offers available on regular days. Thank you to the entire Amaru team for making every visit memorable. A bar restaurant at the Marriott that I’d been curious about for a while. Both the terrace and indoor seating areas are spacious with plenty of seats available. The interior is designed in light brown tones and the lamps and chairs made from natural materials leave a lasting impression. At the entrance, Ms. Yosr kindly explained the restaurant’s concept and escorted me to my seat. Mr. Abdelrhman introduced the happy hour details and recommended the main courses. He was very attentive throughout my visit, checking in on me several times to make sure I had everything I needed. I truly appreciated his warm, genuine hospitality and constant smile. For the main course, I ordered the slow-cooked cauliflower. The sauce was rich and paired perfectly with the cauliflower, making it very easy and enjoyable to eat. Since it was the weekend, I was able to enjoy live DJ music, which added to the great atmosphere. It seems they also offer special deals on different days of the week.

What an amazing Valentine's day we spent here! The location is great, right next to City Center Mall. We were warmly welcomed by the staff, and we got a really good table. Everybody was extremely professional and very well prepared, nothing negative to mention about customer service. Food was incredible, from the amuse bouche to the final dessert. Not only was everything tasty, but the presentation for each plate was above and beyond. We went fke the valentine's day special and we certainly did not regret it. The view of the city was awesome too. Thank you so much for making this day so special for us! We'll be back.

The food is excellent, offering a great mix of authentic South American cuisine with touches adapted to an international palate. Unfortunately, the music was a major disappointment. For a Latin restaurant, we were expecting Latin music to create the right atmosphere. We spoke to the manager twice, but nothing was done about it. I understand there may not be a live band, but at the very least there should be Latin music playing in the background, or even a better mix of music styles. We went to celebrate a friend’s birthday and were hoping for an authentic Latin vibe, but the brunch did not deliver the full experience. Overall, we found it quite misleading.
