The expectations were high and the food was delicious and the service, flawless, but there were two details that ruined a bit the experience for us. The main disappointment came from having to share the desserts. They're already small enough and not easy to share, also you don't want to receive something half broken or where another person has been putting their spoon into, at least in a restaurant of this class. I understand that they intend for you to try more but then make some smaller versions of it and surprise the guests. That felt cheap. The food was very good overall. The experience, outside of the dessert situation was very pleasant but the place is loud. They try to control the acoustics with the design and walls but being small it's hard to do so. The price is aligned with the Michelin stars they have. We wish that for that price we got to enjoy the desserts in a plate of our own.
Had an excellent experience. The service was warm and professional, and every dish was genuinely delicious. What I appreciated most was that despite being Michelin-starred, the restaurant felt honest and unpretentious — refined without trying too hard. Chef Elena personally checking in on the guests was also such a lovely touch. A really beautiful experience overall.
Food and wine were both incredible. The chef came out to introduce herself and greet each patron. Everything was very personal and intimate.
Everything was great. However, the signature dish - the egg - was phenomenal. The scorpion fish was also notably good.
We had a wonderful dinner at Arzak in San Sebastián. The service was excellent, very attentive without being overwhelming, and the team really paid attention to our preferences, which made the experience feel personal and relaxed.
The wine list is impressive, with great options and thoughtful recommendations. Each dish was beautifully presented and, more importantly, full of flavor. I especially loved discovering new and unexpected combinations. that made the whole dinner feel exciting and different.
What we also really appreciated was that the chef came out to greet us at the end of the evening, which made the experience feel even more special.
Overall, it’s a place where you can truly enjoy both the food and the atmosphere. A special experience that still feels warm and welcoming.
Cannot believe this is 3 stars res in all aspect. One of the worst 3 stars i ve ever visited (including eu/uk/asian countries)
The food has no taste , ingredient is also average and not fresh as it should. Each dish is very odd
The presentation sucks …you can easily find this presentation at casual dining res nowadays.
If you experience michelin res before , you will totally understand this aspect
The service is not professional, the staffs do not know about food. They did not get good training
Save your money and spend else where in san sebastian or even go to tapas !!!
This place is a joke …
