Birdie's is a charming spot in the heart of the West Village, specializing in delicious frozen yogurt and a curated selection of artisan and old-school candies. The establishment is named after the owner's beloved Brussels Griffon.
Customers are highly addicted to Birdie's frozen yogurt, praising its delicious, creamy texture that doesn't melt too quickly. The toppings, especially cookie dough and crunchy sauces, are well-loved. Staff are consistently described as incredibly kind, cheerful, and efficient, even during busy periods. The interior is noted for its cuteness, particularly the wallpaper and candy section. While some find the small cup size a bit pricey compared to other froyo chains, the quality and generous topping portions (on both top and bottom) are appreciated. Popular flavors like coffee and tart can sometimes run out, suggesting earlier visits for a full selection.
The shop is located in the West Village of Manhattan. It aims to bring back the joy of frozen yogurt and offers a nostalgic selection of candies alongside its signature froyo.
Weekday afternoons, such as Wednesday afternoons, are ideal for visiting as there are typically no lines and plenty of seating. Weekends, especially warm Sunday afternoons, can experience waits of 15 minutes or more.
