Pretty standard French food and my favorite was actually the salad. Small menu, small space, not so many tables. Couldn’t stay for too long before we had to go so others could take our table.
What an absolutely incredible experience at Cafe Mulberry! From the moment we sat down, everything felt thoughtful and elevated. The butter alone (imported from France) was truly exquisite and set the tone for what followed. Every dish we tried was beautifully prepared and full of flavor (you MUST try the smoked salmon tartine). On top of that, the service was impeccable. 20/10

Had a lovely experience here for dinner. Service was outstanding, food was perfect, and the dessert was sinful.

Pulled up to Café Mulberry on Mulberry St like a calm, grown man… left emotionally attached to a Croque Madame.
Started strong with a savory puff pastry sitting on French onion soup like it owned the place. Side salad for balance (I tried). Then eggs and soldiers came out in a vintage silver cup—felt like brunch but make it royal.
Main event: hanger steak (onglet). Rich, beefy, zero nonsense. Straight muscle.
Then I “accidentally” tried the French toast sticks—thick, custardy, golden, dangerous. Paired with SEY coffee, aka elite NYC fuel.
This spot feels accessible but special. Tight menu, flawless execution, transportive vibe, staff on point.
But hear me clearly:
The Croque Madame here might be the best in NYC.
Go for the atmosphere. Stay for the French onion soup and French toast.
Order the Croque Madame.
It lives rent-free in my mind.
Soon? It’s moving into yours too. 🍽️🔥

Gorgeous, chic and cozy interior with incredible French faire. Enjoyed everything we ordered and felt like we were in someone’s home
