We discovered this charming coffee shop right in the center of the village. It has a warm, inviting atmosphere, with subtle artistic touches reminiscent of Gaudí and Frida Kahlo and some Sicilian art. The coffee and cake was nice and it’s a perfect spot to relax with sandwiches and other lunch time options.
We stopped for coffee and cake (of which there was a great selection!). Both were of good quality - they do a decent flavoursome flat white and the kids enjoyed their hot chocolates.
It wasn't too busy when we visited and service was quick. It's in a nice position to watch the world go by in the village square outside.
They had plant-based milks available as well as some vegan and gluten-free cake options.
Whenever we go to Cartmel, I love to have some lunch here. Their homemade soup and cheese scone is a favourite. Today I had that and then took a piece of the rhubarb cake home with cream and oh wow! It was devine!! 😁
