Such a special place. A friend and I were looking for a nice steak in Paris. I found this place and thought it looked great. We were probably a bit underdressed in our shorts and T-shirts but we were welcomed and felt at ease from the moment we sat (squeezed in).
The room in tight and the tables tighter but encourages you to talk to the people next to you which I enjoy. Albeit you wouldn’t have to.
We had the 3 course set menu
Bread
Tuna served in shiso leaves
Steak and chips with peppercorn sauce
Chocolate fondant
You can see from the pics how good it looks and I can confirm it tastes as good as it looks!
Book in and try this place. You will not be disappointed
This place feels much more suited for tourists and a one-time visit. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful, which is the highlight of the experience. However, for a restaurant that specialises in meat, we expected far more in terms of flavour and execution.
The wine list is acceptable, but nothing particularly memorable.
What truly ruined the evening were the tables — they are placed incredibly close to one another, making it impossible to sit comfortably or have a proper conversation.
It’s disappointing that we couldn’t enjoy the evening the way we had hoped.
At first it felt kind of like a small diner... The tables are so close together that the server had to move it for me to take my seat! Fortunately we made friends with our neighbors, got a few recommendations, and oh my!!! The food was outstanding! Every course was perfection! If you are looking for a quality steak that's for a local vibe, this is the place!! We'll be back for sure!
I had the pleasure of dining at clover Grill for my 30th birthday with my best friend.
It has been an amazing experience.
Plates perfectly balanced, meats of great quality and great wine.
The restaurant is very nice and the service is good. However it is very expensive compared to what you would expect in other restaurants. I know that the chef is renowned but it was still very expensive for relatively small portions.
What was the most astonishing for me was the price of the deserts. Not a single one of them was below the 20$ mark and the clients seating next to our table ordered churros for 20 euros and received only TWO small size churros with some chocolate sauce. Considering that the price to make those must me in the range of 20-50 cents in raw material I thought it showed pretty well the philosophy of this restaurant.
