Dem Shish Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

I was in Eastborne with a couple of my friends for the weekend and was recommended to try Dem Shish by a local. Safe to say it exceeded my expectations in every way. We ordered the platter which was absolutely amazing, particularly the lamb chops and chicken wings. Every member of staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their hospitality truly made our visit even more enjoyable and memorable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Absolutely incredible – best lamb I’ve ever had! The Kleftico lamb shank was unbelievably tender and full of flavour, it fell right off the bone. Aslo, the lamb kebab also perfectly well cooked! Cannot recommend it enough. The staff were lovely and attentive too. 5 stars, will definitely be back if I come to British again!!😋👏👏👏

A quiet Monday night, met by very friendly staff. Followed their recommendation of the mixed kebab, and very glad that I did. It was fantastic, very tasty and very filling. The complimentary warm flatbreads with a spicy, chilly dip and creamy garlic dip was an added bonus to the excellent main course. Tried a small raki and baklava to finish the meal and was not disappointed. The food, drinks and service were all fantastic and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

I know this will sound like a bold claim but having visited the place over two dozen times now, I can confidently say that Dem Shish does Turkish food in the UK as perfectly as they do it in Turkey without missing a beat. The mains are filled with grilled lamb and chicken dishes that should suit every taste palette. For those like me who get overwhelmed by a big menu... take my word and order one of their lambs: ribs, chops, shanks... you simply can't go wrong with either. And if you're hitting the restaurant with a friend after a solid workout with appetite in tow, strongly recommend the Dem Shish platter. It will have an assortment of grilled meats served on a bed of rice (I like mine served separately) cooked to absolute perfection -- and if it's cheat day, upgrade to a side of chips! If you're lucky, Sidad and Isla are at the tables and Ahmad's at the bar. They will start you off with a great conversation, as well as make recommendations that can make the harshest critics come back for more. Great bunch of friendly faces who are on top of their game. The food is incredible... the atmosphere, electric - especially on the weekends - and the service, snappy! You can't go wrong with this one. Been my comfort food for a while now and doesn't look like that will change any time soon.

Well what can I say. My missus recommended we go to this place after she had been before with friends. Well I’m glad she did. What a wonderful place. The atmosphere and the decor is stunning. Lovely music playing in the background. The staff were amazing. Polite attentive and friendly. The owner was also there and was very polite and thankful. Felt very comfortable here. The food was absolutely incredible. The flavour in the food woke up my taste buds. Honestly. Worth every penny. Highly recommend coming here.
