I've eaten a lot of burgers across Japan, and nothing has come close to what Keiichi-san is doing at SMASH BURGERS in Abeno. This place is a hidden gem in every sense — small, unassuming, tucked away — but the burger that comes out is absolutely world-class.
The smash patty had that perfect crispy crust on the outside while staying incredibly juicy inside. The sauce, the bun, the cheese — everything just worked together in a way that felt intentional and dialed in. No shortcuts, no compromises.
But honestly, what elevates this place beyond just great food is Keiichi-san himself. Warm, genuine, and clearly passionate about what he's making — he's the kind of owner that makes you want to come back just to see him again.

Great burger. Tasted very delicious. Family friendly as well. Amazing atmosphere with cool RnB music playing. The jalapeño burger was absolutely amazing. The meat was perfectly seasoned and the buns were nicely toasted.
The burger tastes delicious! The meat is juicy, the bun is fluffy, i know don’t what sauce they put but sauce is great too. I also ordered the fried chicken its so crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. And they even gave me an extra piece of chicken for free! Haha.
The only thing missing from the burger is that it didn’t have any vegetables.
Overall, everything was delicious! And most importantly, the owner is extremely friendly. I really like it! I’ll definitely come back again soon !
This was genuinely the best burger I have ever had, if your coming this way, definitely do not miss coming here. Very well priced and everything about this experience was perfect. Will be coming back everyday.
One of the better smash burgers I’ve ever had. The jalapeño burger was great, and the double smash burger was even better. Patties were perfectly seasoned. A hidden gem.
