Key Information
Eylan, meaning 'proclamation' in Hindi, offers an inventive blend of regional Indian cuisine with a Cal Indian story, emphasizing a farm-to-table sensibility and wood-fired grill techniques. Located in a swanky, new multi-use development in Menlo Park, it provides a stylish and elevated dining experience with complimentary underground parking.
Customer Perception
Customers praise Eylan for its fantastic food, beautiful interiors, and attentive service, making it suitable for special occasions. Highlights include flavorful paneer, elevated taro root chat and puchkas, succulent lamb chops, and delicious cured hamachi. While the ambiance is generally described as chic and inviting, some reviewers note that tables can be close together, leading to a loud, less intimate atmosphere. Cocktails are considered decent but average for the price, and the restaurant is frequently described as expensive.
Eylan is from the same culinary team that brought Ettan, another acclaimed restaurant. The restaurant's concept leverages a 'Cal Indian story,' blending Californian influences with traditional Indian flavors and cooking methods.
Eylan is open for dinner Monday through Friday, and for both lunch and dinner on Saturdays and Sundays. It's ideal for an elevated dining experience in the evening or a weekend lunch.

Stopped by Eylan for lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The lunch menu is excellent—highly recommend the paneer, which was incredibly flavorful and definitely a highlight. While the drinks were decent, the food is where this place truly shines. Finished off with dessert and it was a perfect way to end the meal.
Went here for a special dinner date and had booked in advance. There is ample parking and the ambience is dark and chic. However, the tables are so close to one another that I could hear everything the other tables were saying. It was loud and not an intimate vibe…
The server was cordial not warm. He explained the dishes as they were bought….
Cocktails were okayish for $20….they were average for an upscale restaurant.
We started off with Taro root chat and the puchkas - really good…the chef elevated the dishes with taste as well. The crab bread was a let down. The canbage dish was highly rated but I personally did not like it. I think paneer, mushroom, or any meat would have been much better instead of that. We really wanted to try lamb chops but they were crazy expensive to experiment with…
The gulf shrimps were decent and chicken anar was juicy.
We ordered the frozen shrikhand and that was good….not sure about other desserts.
Might come back maybe once to splurge but not on my fav list.

From the same people that brought you Ettan, this place is another fantastic restaurant. The interiors are beautiful, there is covered parking in the building, and the service was great.
The drink was pretty good and stiff. I had the fried chicken as an appetizer and was sold - it looked simple but the taste was fantastic - and the aioli went well with it.
The lamb chops were succulent, with a good portion of ghee rice (ney choru) that reminded me of fresh home made ghee rice.
The frozen Shrikand was sweet but ok otherwise - because the freezing took away from both the taste and joy of eating soft Shrikand.
Fantastic experience overall.
This is my 2nd time I have been to Eylan. First time I came here it was so good. But this time it felt like it was better than the last time. This Michelin ranked place is a good place
The food
First thing I had was the cured hamachi. That was probably the highlight of the food. Next I had was the seekh kabab and followed by the anaar singhi chicken. Then it was the best food I've ever had at Eylan. It was the lamb chops and then the Eylan crispy chicken. Overall it was delicious. Food was very expensive
The atmosphere
So it split it up into 3 parts. One left, one right, and one outside. I wanted to be seated on the right side. Outside the atmosphere was next level but I thought inside was better. We're seated outside
The service
I think the service was soooooo good and kind. They kept asking us "how was the food" and I thought it was nice of them.
Excellent spot for a relaxed yet elevated dining experience. The space is warm and inviting, making it great for both a casual night out and a special occasion.
The branzino was generous enough for two people and arrived beautifully presented without the main bone, though there were still quite a few smaller bones left, so it’s something to be mindful of while eating. The lamb chops came as two pieces, which made them perfect for sharing and nicely portioned. The snack dishes are very small but flavorful and meant to be shared; the standout was the raw fish dish, similar to a ceviche, which was fresh, bright, and especially tasty.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience felt comfortable and well-paced. Eylan is a solid addition to Menlo Park’s dining scene and worth visiting if you enjoy thoughtfully prepared dishes in a stylish, welcoming setting.
