Ferdi Baba Restaurant

I don’t even know where to begin! We made a reservation from the day before. We were so excited to eat here. We were told that the atmosphere is best at around 9pm, so we booked for 8.30pm. Once we arrived there was only 2 other tables. We were rushed to choose our food as soon as we stepped in. The waiter, ibrahim, thought that he was helping us, however, it was completely opposite. We felt pressured whilst we were choosing our food- not recommended. At this point we were not even assigned to a table. My wife does not speak Turkish and it was so overwhelming for her- pointing things, picking and no time to translate things. We asked our grilled fish to arrive with the rest of the mezes. They have confirmed this. Then the mezes started to arrive as soon as we sat down. I had to tell them again. The fork they put on the table was chipped on one part and cut my wife’s palate. I’ve shown it to them and had to ask to change it- not even an apology from the staff. They brought someone else’s order to our table and then cleared it all out. The hot mezes have arrived cold. They charge for bread and olives that they forcedly put on the table. Same for bottle of water. We were not even asked if we wanted any water. Their prices are way expensive than the average of Alacati, and the service is poor. All the food tasted bland. They said they have a dj on. The “dj” was literally playing songs on YouTube whilst looking uninterested. No check back during our meal. At the end of the meal, when it was time to pay, I was asked if it was a good meal. I replied back and asked “what do you think?”. The waiter replied back saying that it was good. I said no, it wasn’t. There was no further questions asked. Bad establishment and a tourist trap. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will not be trying their other branches. The most tasteless food I had in a Turkish restaurant. Don’t spend your money on here. There are much better places in Alacati than this one. Ps. To put things in context- I am Turkish.

I had a cocktail called Ferahname and it was fantastic. We also really enjoyed the grilled fish. Everything was delicious, and we had a great experience. Highly recommended!

Cozy atmosphere. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Food is very good is seafood focused. However it is very pricey even compared to Ala Çati rates.

I made the reservation and the confirmation couple of weeks ago . When we arrive to the restaurant they could not find our booking. At the end they arrange us a table to eat. It is best place you can eat the sea foods in Alacatı. The foods are great. The price can be a little expensive regarding to what you eat and drink.

The place is so extremely overpriced! There is nothing like 200 tl for two persons. We came and there was no menu, they asked us to go and choose what we want to eat so we just picked few things, some appetizers, we didn’t take fish or normal meal, also we didn’t order alcohol For drinks we took only water We already was afraid that there will be some surprises because the place have no menu So… in the end, for 4 appetizers (you can see on the picture) and some small plate of octopus salad (which was so dry and oily, there was no taste of octopus) we payed 400 tl For this money they should make fresh and delicious food! But, unfortunately, they are focused only on making money if you are tourists on a budget and you cannot throw out 600-800 lira for dinner (or even more with alcohol) then I do not recommend this place to you
