This restaurant is so cute. There are so many different areas to sit. This is the second time we have been here in a multi year span. The hostess could not have been sweeter. She gave us options of where we wanted to sit and was very accommodating. The service was kind of - very slow. Drinks came out relatively quickly, but the food took forever. I’m not sure what the hold up was, but the salads and entrees all came out at the same time (about 30-40 minutes after ordering). Good thing we had ordered an appetizer with the drink, so we weren’t as hangry as we could have been. The salads must have been sitting for a while because they were so wilted, they were hard to eat. The entrees were not hot. They were barely even warm. I was so sad. I really wanted to like this place so much!

The flavors are bold yet approachable, making it easy to find something you’ll love. I came here with relatives for dinner, and we ordered several dishes and cocktails, and they were all delicious! We had a fantastic time. Service is just as impressive. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu, always ready with great recommendations that enhance the experience. Whether you’re there for brunch, dinner, or drinks, the atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming—perfect for everything from date night to a relaxed get-together with friends. With its unique setting, delicious food, and welcoming vibe, The Goodyear House stands out as one of Charlotte’s must-visit spots. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Gorgeous property very quant. Lunch was delicious. The shrimp was marinated well and the seasoned crackers with cream spread was very tasty. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. Hostess was very nice and even gave a little history of the property and spoke highly of the restaurant's atmosphere as well as the adjacent property; which operates as a cocktail bar. Importantly, the servers were very polite and attentive. She took the time to talk about the menu.

We hosted a baby shower here and it was a blast. 100% recommend this spot to anyone looking for a good venue or just a nice small brunch with friends. Food is delicious, drinks are tasty, and the staff is amazing. Thank you to Lauren the bar and events manager for showing us this best time!!!

This was my third visit to The Goodyear House and unfortunately it will be my last. I really wanted to like this restaurant given its location in a neighborhood that means a lot to me, but three visits have delivered three disappointing experiences. Our first two visits were overshadowed by extremely poor service and limited menu availability due to multiple items being sold out. I decided to give it one final chance, and it turned out to be the most frustrating visit yet. The evening started with a 45 minute wait just to receive a cocktail. We joked about leaving and simply paying for the sparkling water, but decided to stay. That proved to be the wrong decision. The salad course took over an hour to arrive, which set the tone for the rest of the meal. When the main courses finally came out, the steak was heavily charred and tasted burnt, yet somehow still managed to be lukewarm to slightly cold around the edges. It is honestly an impressive culinary mistake. Dessert appeared to be scooped straight from a large bulk container and was so unappealing that I did not even bother taking a photo. I genuinely wanted this place to succeed and become a regular spot for us, but after three poor experiences, I cannot justify returning. Three strikes and you are out.
