Nice space, friendly staff and food was served promptly.
However, I left the restaurant somewhat disappointed for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, we picked a mid-range 1.1 kg côte de bœuf, french origin matured for 30 days and it was waaaaaay chewier than I was expecting. When I spend 125 euros on a piece of meat (I was told by the waiter it would be tender), I expect it to be very tender and it wasn't the case. I've eaten better pieces of meat purchased at the supermarket. Unclear if it was just bad luck or how it was cooked...
Secondly, what is up with fancy-ish restaurants playing sports bar music these days? When I go out for a nice meal, I'd love not to have 80s pop music blaring in my ears.
The experience was tainted by something being said about my husband and I in French by one of the staff who greeted us which caused hilarity with the rest which is a shame as the food was excellent as was the table servicr
The food was pleasant. Service was very bad.
Sauces were forgotten, it took ages to get the magret de canard cut up properly.
I visit these restaurants regularly and found this one very disappointing.!!!!
Food was fantastic! We really enjoyed our meal. Sadly, the waiter was rude. We ordered a bottle of wine and he just plonked it on the table without asking if we wanted to try it. When I asked him why, he was very dismissive and said "but you like it". He then proceeded to address my husband from then on. We were very polite and we spoke French. I have never experienced such rudeness in all the years I've been to France....not even in Paris!!
